Caroling at The Adolphus
WRR classical radio station has a holiday tradition of doing a live broadcast of caroling at The Adolphus Hotel. It is one week each December and they have a different chorus each day. Coffee, hot cider and cookies are provided and it is free to the public. Bob and I went yesterday and it was a delightful experience. The hotel was festively decorated and the ballroom for caroling had two gorgeous Christmas trees. We got there early to get seats and the room was almost full. Everyone was cheerful and laughing – great holiday feeling. The two choirs were terrific and received lots of enthusiastic applause after each song. On our way to the Adolphus we made a quick stop at the new Omni Dallas Hotel for Bob to take some shots of their amazing lawn Christmas tree ornaments. It was all so happily festive I hummed Christmas carols the rest of the day.
